Nearly 30 million people in the UK are living with some degree of chronic pain. Of those, around 8 million are in severe pain. But for many people, that shouldn’t be the case. One possible option worth considering is Shockwave Therapy. Our London shockwave therapy clinic provides non-invasive, safe shockwave therapy treatments designed to treat, prevent & heal your injury, helping you to live a pain free life.
When chronic pain fails to respond to the conventional treatments available – and there are circumstances when it might not – then Shockwave Therapy is certainly worth considering as a next step.
Although there is still a lack of awareness of Shockwave Therapy among GPs and other generalist medical professionals, there is a good deal of evidence from around the world that it’s an effective option in the treatment of soft tissue and musculoskeletal condition, as well as in spinal cord injuries and vascular and nerve regeneration.
Shockwave Therapy is a non-surgical therapy that uses an acoustic wave to deliver focused energy to painful inflamed tendons and other soft tissues in order to promote regeneration. When chronic pain fails to respond to the conventional treatments available then Shockwave Therapy is certainly worth considering as a next step. There are many benefits of shockwave therapy and it can treat a number of different conditions.

We recommend that you have at least 3 sessions spaced 5-7day apart. Some patients require additional top up sessions to reach 100% recovery.
There are very little to no side effects for shockwave therapy. During treatment there is some pain however this is very temporary.
The aim of shockwave is to create a pro-inflammatory environment around the area. This encourages healing and recovery of the tendon. After treatment the treated area may feel warm, ‘fuzzy’ and a little sore. But there are no restrictions after treatment other than to reduce heavy activity.
